1.) Far too long for youtube comment, so dont ask
but in short, mass increases as speed increases, such that mass would be infinate at the speed of light. Infinate mass takes infinate engery to accelerate, which there isn’t in the universe
2.) Many different type of clocks show the same result, and are perfect to einstiens equations, devices such as a light clock are not mechanical (though cesium clocks are used)
3.) growth rate, no. (our speeds are too low) However you mentioned carbon dat
Continued…
you mentioned carbon dating:
allthough carbon dating again takes too much time, other radioactive substances have been used which have a shorter half life and move faster. these are called (excuse my spelling, it is the greek letter meyew) myoo-ons / myew-ons
sorry i can’t spell lol! meuons
heres a better idea, stop spamming youtube and go read a book
Clocks used for measuring times this accurately are not related to the earths gravitational field.
such as cesium clocks / light clocks.
and in relation to your moon question, yes it does imply he has lost weight, however remember weight is a FORCE. It is by definition changed by the strength of gravity (w=mg).
However MASS is the same on the moon or earth. So this cannot be compaired to time dilation.

1.) is it an equation on a physics book somewhere?
2.) are they still based on the ratation and orbital speed of earth. Or are they based on light trough a vacum?
3.) What other methods are used to determine age of the people that go into outer space?
@steve0619
Yeah, I know which one you mean (the u shape funny looking one)
@steve0619
Where can I find out all this information, really curious to check it out?
@steve0619
By books I am assuming text books used in classrooms to teach physics and math.
@steve0619
Yeah, I mentined weight because it’s easier to uderstand than mass. He would have the same mass no matter where he goes. The weight is due to gravitational force on the mass, There is a pound force and pound mass to depict the differences.
@steve0619
The comment about time dialatin in respect to time travel still not answear. Is there an asnwear to that comment?
I beleive that the concept of time is done in two ways. One is in relation to the progression of humans as we are born than we die. I call this real time or global time. The second is in regards to how fast the speed of light travels in a vacum. I call this the scientific time or local time. I believe tha the global time is constant, bu the local time can varie in relaton to light. Light is a very important part of human existance, thus we use it to measure everything that we can come accorss.
OK, no more spamming from me. My last comment is;
Time travel is impossible
Time travel is irrelevant
Hope I see it done in my life time.
“I think this is from were the question of wether time is constant or not stems from. Which is now shown as it is not constant.”
Not trying to be rude by repeating myself, but that’s what time dilation is. Time slows down. Light now takes “longer” to get somewhere. but space also contracts, so light takes “less time.” The effects perfectly cancel one another.
If you are really curious about this, I suggest reading a layman’s book on relativity. Chat is a poor medium for education.
